Free support to our Steinberg customers!
Steinberg customers are provided various levels of free product support. We do require that you first register your products. Registering your product is important as it allows us to track the progress of your cases and to provide better follow up to make sure you are getting the most out of your products.

When registering your products and creating your MySteinberg Account, You will be asked to check a box that allows the US to see your information. Please check this box! Due to international laws, this box must be checked in order for our support team to see your account.
Technical vs. Tutorial
In an effort to provide the most efficient phone support possible for free, please reserve phone support for technical issues. We understand the desire to learn as much as possible about your products and would like to help direct you to the best ways to dig up information regarding features and applications of how to use the products. There are several user guides built right into the software under the help menu. These user guides are excellent ways to research questions and get the most out of your software. The guides are searchable; just type in a key word like “remote”, or “patchscript” or “automation” and you will be given tons of information on the subject.
Our online forums are also a great way to learn more about the products and ask “how to” questions.
There are also many tutorial DVDs available for sale as well as many online tutorials. Visit SteinbergUpgrades.com or simply do an internet search for several examples.

Steinberg North America provides free telephone support for qualified products. Our Telephone # is 1-714-228-3301. Our hours of phone service are Monday -Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm EST, and Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm EST
Requirements for free telephone support:
· Must be a registered user for the product you are calling about.
· Must be the registered owner of the product you are calling about.
· Must check the check box in MySteinberg allowing Steinberg North America to view your account.
· Must be in front of computer that you are calling about.
· If using a cell phone, please make sure your reception is strong or calls can end up being disconnected.

Steinberg provides free email support. We usually have a 24 hour response time on our emails. Please log into the MySteinberg section and use the Support Request Form there.

· In order to answer your question as thoroughly as possible please describe your machine and your problem as complete as possible. By being complete in your description we will be able to get a better understanding and ultimately answer your question more quickly.
24 hour forum support:
Steinberg North America provides free forums for our users. We recommend a very supportive local forum at www.steinbergusers.com. This forum, run by a 3rd party, is moderated by many Steinberg and Yamaha Staff. The forums are a great place to ask questions, learn new tricks and meet other users. Imagine instead of asking one person a question you are asking hundreds of people the question. It really is a great way of getting closer to the product.
Bundled Software Products/OEM/Hardware bundles
Cubase AI4, Cubase LE4, and Wavelab Lite may have come bundled with your hardware as an added product. Support for these products is provided via our Steinberg forums (above) as well as the hardware manufacturer, whom you may call directly by phone. The support forums are monitored by application specialist and will be addressed by them or by other users.
Legacy products
Times change and technologies advance. Due to this change in technologies many of our legacy or older products that have been discontinued do not qualify for support. If we can help answer questions we are happy to but many of these products are unavailable and may not work at all on newer systems. We will be happy to help guide you in the right direction. The forums are a great place to get help on older legacy products, and of course we encourage you to upgrade so you wont be caught with a system that does not function to its fullest potential.
